ADF Awards Women in Aviation Scholarship:
While attending Women in Aviation's Conference this past February (www.wia.org), ADF's President, Joseph Miceli presented Kansas State University senior, Samantha Dee Scharff with ADF's 2010 Women in Aviation Scholarship in the amount of $3000 (in conjunction with AGS-Airline Ground School) during their awards luncheon.
The ADF and AGS are committed to promoting continued learning opportunities for those chose to grow in a transportation profession.
ADF congratulates Ms. Scharff, this years selected recipient and also would like to thank those applicants who submitted for this scholarship to pursue an Aircraft Dispatcher License.
ADF looks forward to continued partnership with WIA and AGS promoting an Aircraft Dispatcher's Profession, offering the highest "Single Level of Safety" for our traveling public in North America and throughout the world.

ADF Awards Scholarship at NBAA Conference:
ADF's Executive Vice President, John Schwoyer far left on picture attended NBAA's Dispatchers and Schedulers Conference on 1/27/09 in San Antonio Texas accompanied by 2010's ADF's Scholarship recipient Ms. Jennifer Green (nearst to John), which was presented at the awards luncheon. This donated scholarship (in conjunction with AGS-Airline Ground School Dan Mortensen Far Right) awarded $3500 to one applicant yearly.
The ADF, NBAA, and AGS are committed to Safety and do so by promoting continued learning opportunities for those chose to grow in a transportation profession.
ADF again congratulates Ms. Green, this years selected recipient and also thanks those applicants who submitted for this scholarship to pursue an Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.
ADF looks forward to continued partnership with NBAA and AGS promoting an Aircraft Dispatcher Profession offering the highest level of safety for our traveling public in North America and throughout the world.
ADF Selected by RTCA Policy Board:
ADF was selected by the RTCA Policy Board to continue its work within ATMAC (Air Traffic Management Advisory Committee) for the 2010-2011 term.

Dear Members,
As 2009 comes to a close and so many of you have a chance to enjoy family, friends, and loved ones this holiday season, ADF reflects on some of it’s accomplishments this past year not resting on our laurels but realizing there is so much more work that lies ahead in 2010. There is no doubt many airlines are still recovering from obstacles such as high fuel prices, delays, intense competition, and operational mishaps which have been publicized and scrutinized throughout many media outlets.

Anyone holding a paper airman certificate from the FAA will have to switch to the new plastic certificate by the following dates:
For Dispatchers, Flight Engineers, and Navigators - March 31st, 2013
For Pilots and Flight Instructors - March 31st, 2010
The airmen must request a replacement, they will not automatically be sent out. If a replacement is not obtained by the date noted, the paper certificate becomes invalid.
