FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – October 30, 2025

Airline Dispatchers Federation announces organizational changes.

Washington, D.C. – The Airline Dispatchers Federation (ADF) today announced an organizational leadership change following the resignation of Valorie Cook from her position as Executive Vice President.

The ADF Executive Board extends its sincere gratitude to Valorie for her years of dedication, passion, and service to the federation and to the dispatch profession. Her leadership and advocacy have left a lasting impact, and she will be greatly missed. In accordance with ADF’s bylaws, a special meeting of the Executive Board was convened on Wednesday, October 29, 2026, to elect a successor.

Effective immediately, Miguel Reyes, Delegate representing American Airlines, has been appointed Executive Vice President and will serve in this role through the end of the current term on December 31, 2026.

Miguel Reyes brings more than two decades of operational control experience at American Airlines and has served with distinction on the ADF Board of Directors. His deep industry expertise, leadership, and commitment to safety and operational excellence will continue to strengthen ADF’s mission of supporting the nation’s professional dispatchers.
“Miguel’s extensive background and respected voice in the dispatch community make him an excellent addition to the executive board,” said Ryan Makings, ADF President. “We’re confident he will continue the momentum that Valorie helped build.” The ADF looks forward to working with Miguel in his new capacity and to advancing the federation’s ongoing advocacy efforts for flight dispatchers across the industry.
