Rules and Eligibility
1. Each scholarship will be awarded to 1 applicant.
2. The applicant must be a member of ADF. (Those interested in pursuing a dispatch certificate may join ADF as an Affiliate Member.)
3. Each applicant may apply for one or multiple scholarships.
4. Submit a resume and descriptive essay / cover letter for each application.
5. Applicants are subject to the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be at least 23 years of age.
- Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
- Must be U.S. Citizen OR hold current authorization to live and receive education within the United States not to expire prior to the completion of the dispatch course.
6. Each scholarship is for ***tuition only***. All other costs (FAA exam fees, travel, lodging, ground transportation, food) are the responsibility of the student.
7. The scholarship recipient must have time available to attend training and study, without distraction. Practical testing will follow the course completion date.
8. The scholarship recipient will be responsible for costs incurred if remedial training is needed due to lack of study or non-compliance with policies found within the given dispatch school’s instructional handbook.
9. The scholarship recipient must schedule a course to commence prior to the expiration date (typically 1 year from when the scholarship is awarded) or the scholarship may be voided.
10. There is no promise of employment.
