This month's navaid is in the United States, along an Interstate Highway.
It’s named after a lonely place on the former Santa Fe railroad, and it shares its name with a nearby quarry.
It's not far from where an event (which was given the same name) occurred that caused an Amtrak train to derail.

It's also a male name from mythology, and sounds similar to a metric system unit of area.

It’s named after the nearby unincorporated community, which had been a city until it burned to the ground in 1911.
A river passing through the area, draining into a large lake, shares the same name as the VOR.

This month's navaid is located in the United States.

Its name is the same as the nearby regional airport, but with a different identifier.

They are both named after the river that flows through the area, which itself has the name of an unprincipled, deceitful individual.

This month’s navaid is in the United States, inside Class B airspace.

It’s named after the county where it is located.   That county is named after a river that flows through it, itself named after a French fur trapper.

It has the same identifier as a large general aviation airport located five miles away.  That airport has a distinctively shaped main ramp.
