This navaid was located at an airport in a combat zone, in a former colony of a European country. It was installed by U.S. Air Force personnel in the 1990s.
This month's VOR is named after a town that is not near the navaid, because its location is so remote. It makes up a low altitude airway. Planes fly over the Plain!
